NTSB investigators in Bangor after fatal plane crash<\/b><\/p>\n
Investigators from both the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are on the site in Bangor where a plane crashed Sunday night.<\/span><\/p>\n Initial phases of the investigation are now underway as Bangor Police are awaiting approval to access the aircraft.<\/span><\/p>\n Six people are presumed dead after the plane stopped in Bangor to receive fuel and de-icing services, took off and then crashed.<\/span><\/p>\n WABI news reports airport officials ask for privacy of family and friends of those involved while investigators conduct their work.<\/span><\/p>\n The airport will be closed until Thursday at 9 a.m.<\/span><\/p>\n https:\/\/www.wabi.tv\/2026\/01\/26\/crews-scene-bangor-international-airport\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Ellsworth bus driver charged after crash<\/b><\/p>\n An Ellsworth school bus driver faces felony charges after a crash on Jan. 15.<\/span><\/p>\n Daniel Morse of Hancock is charged with driving to endanger and two traffic violations.<\/span><\/p>\n On Jan. 15 at approximately 5:11 p.m. Ellsworth PD responded to a report of a personal injury accident involving the school bus and another vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n The driver of the car, Michael Sarran of Southwest Harbor, reportedly collided with the side of the school bus after Morse crossed the center line toward the breakdown lane on the southbound shoulder.<\/span><\/p>\n Sarran was transported to a Bangor hospital with serious injuries and Morse was treated on scene.<\/span><\/p>\n Four students were on the bus at the time.<\/span><\/p>\n Hancock County police departments will add body and cruiser cameras<\/b><\/p>\n Federal funding granted to the Hancock County Emergency Management Agency will bring body and cruiser cameras to multiple departments.<\/span><\/p>\n $2.3 million will support police departments in Bucksport, Ellsworth, the sheriff\u2019s office, Winter Harbor, Gouldsboro, Mount Desert, Southwest Harbor and Bar Harbor.<\/span><\/p>\n
