unsustainable way putting the organization in financial trouble.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On Monday an email was sent out to employees detailing the financial crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WABI news reports an email sent by the President and CEO of PCHC Lori Dwyer states the severe cash crisis leaves the organization short of $3 million.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dwyer says the accounts payable is stretched leaving some vendors refusing orders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WABI news reports Bankruptcy is described as the last resort but if that happened the organization would undergo a restructuring, not a closure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a LLC<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Maine Department of Environmental Protection filed a complaint on Tuesday in the Penobscot County Superior Court.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s against Mallincrockdt US LLC stating the company failed to complete cleanup efforts of an Orrington site.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Officials say the company did not meet remediation standards required in the DEP\u2019s 2008 Designation of Uncontrolled Hazardous Substance Site and Order as it is now one of Maine\u2019s most contaminated sites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The former owners of the site produced chemicals commonly used in the pulp and paper industry which resulted in a significant amount of contamination, highly toxic mercury in soils, groundwaters and the Penobscot River.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Embattled RSU 63 school board member returns after being arrested<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On Monday night, a woman who serves on the RSU 63 School Board and was arrested on child endangerment charges in July returned to the board\u2019s monthly meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Brittany Wood met a deadline to retain her seat which requires a board member to forfeit their seat if they fail to attend three consecutive meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WABI news reports Wood was arrested last month in Brewer after traveling to Boston and New York to evade law enforcement following a drug overdose of her nine-month old daughter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Medical records revealed the infant had cocaine and fentanyl in her system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a location<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Franklin residents in need are always welcomed to the Franklin Community Table Food pantry and now they can find their offerings at a new location.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The food pantry opened up the brick-and-mortar at 10 Main Street in Franklin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Ellsworth American reports rising food, housing and other household costs have increased the need within the community however leaders at the pantry say they\u2019re there to welcome anyone young and old.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The pantry gives out non-perishable foods, fresh vegetables, pet food and personal care items.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They also have recipe ideas and resources available for community members to review.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a to embrace the beauty of your local library.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Ellsworth Public Library will celebrate \u2018Library Card Sign-Up\u2019 month in September by inviting community members to discover or rediscover all of the perks that come with a library card.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">EPL cardholders will be able to access free programs, classes, streaming services, audiobooks and more within their library of things.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can also share the library with a friend and encourage
