Election Day results in Ellsworth<\/b><\/p>\n
The polls are closed and the final results are in from the Nov. 4 election.<\/span><\/p>\n For Question 1, WABI reports Mainers voted ‘No’ on the proposal focused on Voter ID.<\/span><\/p>\n The initiative would\u2019ve implemented a photo ID requirement for voters, limit the use of drop boxes for returning completed ballots and make changes to the state\u2019s absentee voting system.<\/span><\/p>\n For Question 2, Maine residents voted ‘Yes’ to make it easier for family members to petition a court to restrict a potentially dangerous person\u2019s access to guns just two years after the deadliest mass shooting in history.<\/span><\/p>\n In Ellsworth, residents voted on three seats for the city council.<\/span><\/p>\n Patrick Shea, Carol Patterson-Martineau and Marinna Smith have all been elected.<\/span><\/p>\n As far as the Ellsworth School Board goes, the Ellsworth American reports that locals voted for Beverly Sargent and Paul Markosian.<\/span><\/p>\n Voters in meals on Wednesday<\/b><\/p>\n A barbecue joint in Bangor is continuing to help families facing food insecurity and benefit shortages while the government is shut down according to WABI news.<\/span><\/p>\n Moe\u2019s Original BBQ at 650 Broadway posted on social media Tuesday that they will be handing out around 100 free meals on Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n They say between 9:00am and 11:00am, they\u2019ll be handing out FREE \u201cDouble-Wide Family Pack\u201d meals that will feed three to four people.<\/span><\/p>\n They say their staff has been working hard on these meals to give back to the community.<\/span><\/p>\n They\u2019re asking people to pass this along to anyone who you feel might be interested, and they\u2019ll post on their Facebook page if\/when they run Christmas gift sign up is open<\/b><\/p>\n The Maine Seacoast Mission\u2019s Christmas program invites families with children under 18 to sign up, according to the Ellsworth American.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The paper says the program has helped children and families have a merry Christmas since 1905.<\/span><\/p>\n The publication says last year, more than 4,300 gifts were
