News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Ellsworth City Council election recount scheduled<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The City of Ellsworth tells Star 97.7 after consulting with the City Clerk, Deputy City Clerk overseeing elections, and legal counsel, and given the closeness of the election results, the City intends to move forward with a recount of the election on Friday, Nov. 14 with Saturday, Nov. 15 as an extension of the recount timeline, if needed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In a press release, city officials stated the hand recount will be held in City Council Chambers and will commence at 9AM and open to the public at 8AM to view setup.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The election certification\/organizational meeting to seat the new Council will be postponed from Monday, Nov. 10 to Monday, Nov. 17 at 4PM prior to the monthly City Council meeting which will begin at 6PM.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The City will distribute additional information regarding procedural policies governing the recount process soon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Bucksport school board race recount ends in tie<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to the Bangor Daily News, a recount of the school board race in Bucksport ended in a tie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The paper says as of Thursday, the town doesn\u2019t know how it will resolve the situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Emily Fitzgerald challenged incumbent Keith Kneeland Jr. for a three-year seat representing the town on the RSU 25 school board.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Unofficial results show Fitzgerald won by three votes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kneeland requested the recount but the paper reports Bucksport plans to consult with the town attorney Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a missing teen<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Authorities are asking for help finding a missing teen according to WABI news.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Holden Police say Mary Hembree, 17, who also goes by the name Oli, was reported missing on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They say Hembree was supposed to be spending the night with friends in Brewer and didn\u2019t return home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Police say Hembree\u2019s cell phone was last pinged in the Portland area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Holden Police say the teen\u2019s parents believe Hembree might have been heading to Massachusetts to meet with her boyfriend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: style=\"font-weight: 400\">The current edition of the Farmers\u2019 Almanac will be the last edition after more than 200 years of the publication.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The publishers say it was a difficult decision knowing many Mainers had grown up listening to their parents or grandparents quote the Almanac.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They did not give a reason for halting publication.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Copies of the last Farmers\u2019 Almanac are currently available in local stores.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span
