Dump truck crashes into power lines in Bar Harbor<\/b><\/p>\n
Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Police tell Star 97.7 a dump truck crashed into power lines on Cottage Street Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n Police say the driver failed to lower the dump body when leaving a construction site and several power lines and poles were pulled down and broken.<\/span><\/p>\n Portions of West Street, Cottage Street and Holland Avenue were closed while crews worked to repair the damage.<\/span><\/p>\n Bar Harbor firefighters were also on scene.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n New judicial center in Ellsworth approved<\/b><\/p>\n The Ellsworth American reports the planning board in Ellsworth has approved the construction of the new Hancock County judicial center on High Street and it could lead to different traffic patterns.<\/span><\/p>\n The paper reports the approval happened on Wednesday, Dec. 3 and city officials say there\u2019s a possibility for change around the four major intersections near the future site.<\/span><\/p>\n City officials say the intersections include the proposed site entrance on Merrill Lane, the intersection of Merrill Lane and High Street and Maine Street to the north as well as the intersection next to Walgreens and south from there.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n https:\/\/www.ellsworthamerican.com\/news\/planning-board-approves-final-plan-for-new-judicial-center\/article_74544db3-fcfc-46a7-8dbf-2bad0623b061.html<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Houlton town council fire manager after domestic violence arrest<\/b><\/p>\n The Houlton Town Council voted unanimously Monday night to fire Town Manager Cameron Clark, according to the Bangor Daily News.<\/span><\/p>\n Clark was arrested in September for domestic violence assault and tampering with a witness.<\/span><\/p>\n The council initially allowed Clark to remain on the job after his arrest.
