Multiple agencies respond to Bucksport fire Sunday night<\/b><\/p>\n
On Sunday night, multiple agencies responded to a fire at a home on Foss Farm Drive in Bucksport according to the Bangor Daily News.<\/span><\/p>\n Orland, Castine and Orrington firefighters were among the five departments that assisted Bucksport fire in containing the blaze which took around five hours.<\/span><\/p>\n The paper says despite the harsh conditions, crews were able to put out the blaze.<\/span><\/p>\n There\u2019s no further details at this time.<\/span><\/p>\n https:\/\/www.bangordailynews.com\/2025\/12\/15\/hancock\/hancock-police-courts\/bucksport-foss-farm-drive-sunday-fire\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Man who shot at police and led authorities on chase arrested<\/b><\/p>\n Authorities tell WABI news two people were arrested Sunday following a police chase in Kennebec County in which one of the suspects shot at officers.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the Kennebec County Sheriff\u2019s Office, police tried to stop 33-year-old Dustin Smith on Hallowell Road in Chelsea, but he kept driving.<\/span><\/p>\n Officials say Smith was wanted on multiple arrest warrants.<\/span><\/p>\n Authorities tell WABI, Smith led police on a chase through Windsor into Augusta, firing a gun at officers multiple times.<\/span><\/p>\n Police say he pointed a gun at officers, and deputies fired at Smith with one bullet grazing him.<\/span><\/p>\n Authorities say Smith was taken to a hospital to be treated then taken to Kennebec County Jail with several pending charges.<\/span><\/p>\n Police say Kierra Stoddard, 29, was also taken to the jail, charged with resisting arrest.<\/span><\/p>\n https:\/\/www.wabi.tv\/2025\/12\/15\/man-arrested-after-shooting-police-chase-kennebec-county\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Historic Greenville building damaged by fire<\/b><\/p>\n A piece of history went up in flames early Monday morning in Greenville according to WABI news.<\/span><\/p>\n The Greenville Fire Department responded to the fire at the Columbia-Doric Masonic Temple on Pritham Avenue according to WABI news.<\/span><\/p>\n Flames coming from the roof of the building is what first responders responded to and they tried to put out the fire.<\/span><\/p>\n There is no information as to what caused the fire and no injuries have been reported.<\/span><\/p>\n https:\/\/www.wabi.tv\/2025\/12\/15\/historic-building-damaged-by-fire-greenville\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n City of Ellsworth water department update<\/b><\/p>\n City of Ellsworth officials say the water department has been flushing hydrants and will do so again between 2:30 and 5 p.m. Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n Areas affected include Surry Road, Water Street and State Street.<\/span><\/p>\n Officials say you may notice cloudy or discolored water but keep in mind it is normal during flushing and the water is safe to use and drink.<\/span><\/p>\n Crews are working on a valve replacement but once that\u2019s done, the water pressure should be back to normal.<\/span> If you have any questions for the water department call 207-667-8632.<\/span><\/p>\n https:\/\/www.ellsworthmaine.gov\/water-department-update-monday-december-15-2025-%f0%9f%92%a7\/<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n New Bangor women\u2019s sober living home open<\/b><\/p>\n According to WABI news, a new sober living facility specifically for women is now open in Bangor.<\/span><\/p>\n Lily House aims to provide a safe and supportive space.<\/span><\/p>\n WABI news reports it\u2019s not a treatment center, it\u2019s a place where tenants are expected to have at least a month of sobriety, rent a room on a monthly basis and follow a structure.<\/span><\/p>\n The owners say they want their space to be a supportive atmosphere to better tenants chances of having a long term, lasting sobriety.<\/span><\/p>\n
