Two people rescued after blaze in Corinth<\/b><\/p>\n
Two people were rescued from their burning home in Corinth.<\/span><\/p>\n Crews were called to White Schoolhouse Road early Sunday morning for reports of a house fire with at least one person trapped inside.<\/span><\/p>\n WABI news reports when they arrived, firefighters found two people on the front porch of the home.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n They were both taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n Corinth Fire posted on Facebook that because both residents of the home had to be transported by ambulance, very few firefighters were left to actually battle the deep-seated fire in the attic space.<\/span><\/p>\n It’s believed the fire started in the ceiling area of the home, around a wood stove chimney.<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to the two residents, three dogs, two cats, three small birds and some goldfish were all rescued from the burning home.<\/span><\/p>\n Exeter man charged in Corinth murder violates conditions of release<\/b><\/p>\n An Exeter man charged in connection with the murder of a Corinth man appeared before a Penobscot County judge Monday morning.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the Attorney General\u2019s office, Holden Melvin violated his conditions of release after being ordered under house arrest and to not use or possess alcohol, marijuana or any illegal drugs.<\/span><\/p>\n WABI news reports Melvin, along with five other people, is charged in connection with the death of 27-year-old Dylan Caruso of Corinth whose body was found in the woods of Exeter in October of 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n The state alleges that on Dec. 4, Melvin left the home in Milo he was ordered to reside in.<\/span><\/p>\n Court documents say he left by foot.<\/span><\/p>\n On Dec. 5, the state alleges Melvin violated conditions by refusing to submit to a random urine test.<\/span><\/p>\n Melvin admitted to the violations in court and he\u2019s being held without bail.
