Fisherman’s body located from Dyer Bay

The Maine Marine Patrol says a fisherman’s body was recovered in Dyer Bay in Steuben Wednesday.

Authorities say 63-year-old Thomas West of Steuben was found near his lobster boat that was moored close to the wharf at the end of Merritt Road.

Authorities say Tuesday night is when they learned West was missing after a fisherman reported his boat was running without anyone on board.

Wednesday is when they were notified that his body had been discovered and transferred to a relative’s fishing vessel.

West was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta.

Home in Belfast total loss after fire

Thursday morning, emergency crews responded to a house fire on Oak Hill Road.

Dispatch received the call at around 10:30 a.m.

WABI news reports Belfast Fire says the house is a total loss with extensive damage to the second floor.

Occupants made it out safely and no injuries were reported according to the fire department.

The cause has not been determined.

Raymond man faces attempted murder charge after crashing into cruiser

A Raymond man now faces attempted murder after crashing into a police cruiser.

Court documents say the crash happened after a high-speed chase.

WABI news reports 22-year-old Riley McClure drove his car head-on into a Bar Harbor police cruiser with an officer inside.

Officials say the officer was not hurt.

WABI news reports McClure is facing 12 charges including aggravated assault, eluding an officer and criminal mischief.

His bail is set at $50,000.

Missing Winslow man found safely

After days of searching, the Maine Warden Service tells Star 97.7 they have safely located 24-year-old Zachary Crothers.

This after authorities got a report the 24-year-old went missing on April 19th and has developmental disabilities.

Authorities want to thank everyone who assisted in the search.
