Ellsworth officials remind residents & visitors of fire safety
The City of Ellsworth issued a reminder for residents and visitors alike regarding fire safety.
City leaders are encouraging those who are out enjoying the best parts of a Maine summer to take extra time to ensure a fire is out.
Whether it’s a backyard fire pit or you’re relaxing at a campsite, remember to pour water on the fire, stir the ashes, embers and wood, pour more water and stir again.
You should repeat this until no heat, smoke, steam or glowing remaining embers are there.
