Fatal shooting in Biddeford involved ICE
The Office of the Attorney General is now investigating the fatal use of deadly force in Biddeford.
On Monday, Biddeford, Saco and Maine State Police assisted in an incident involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement personnel.
Gov. Janet Mills confirmed a person died as a result of the shooting.
The incident happened at the intersection of Pool Street and Hill Street.
This has caused Maine officials to respond with questions about what led up to the shooting.
Penobscot County search for woman after infant’s overdose
The Penobscot county sheriff’s office is still searching for a woman after an infant overdosed in Eddington.
36-year-old Brittany Wood is a member of the RSU school board representing Holden, Eddington and Clifton.
WABI news reports that deputies are looking for Wood in connection to a May 31 incident.
Authorities say an arrest warrant is issued for Wood on grounds of domestic violence, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Orrington man arrested for drug trafficking
On Sunday, Brewer police arrested an Orrington man after a traffic stop.
33-year-old James Potter was taken into custody after authorities searched Potter and found two firearms and illegal drugs.
He is charged with drug trafficking and faces charges of carrying a concealed weapon and criminal speeding according to WABI news.
Ellsworth hires new finance director
The City of Ellsworth announced the hiring of a new chief financial officer.
Chris Nemeth will now fill the role with decades of experience in consulting firms and working for large private-sector companies.
Nemeth will oversee operations, budgeting, long-term financial planning and more.
He is expected to start his new role on July 31.
Guild Fine Craft Show hits the stage at COA
For the 49th season, the popular Guild Fine Craft Show will return to the College of the Atlantic in August.
Put together by Shop Maine Craft, organizers say the indoor/ outdoor event will take place downtown Bar Harbor from the 7-9 showing handcrafted work by Guild level members of the Maine Crafts Association.
Visitors can explore the work of over 50 artists and purchase that one-of-a-kind piece you’ve been searching for.

Heart of Ellsworth announced ‘Summer of Clay’ program
In the wake of expanding creative programs at the Makerspace in Ellsworth, the Heart of Ellsworth announced a new workshop called ‘Summer of Clay.’
The creative opportunity will offer a six-week experience for beginners and returning makers as they explore a new hand building technique and project each week.

Rotary Club of Ellsworth announces 64th Annual Blueberry Pancake breakfast
Saturday, August 1 will be the day tradition continues for the Down East Family YMCA.
The 64th annual Blueberry Pancake breakfast will return for an all-you-can eat breakfast of Maine blueberry pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee with gluten-free pancakes available.
Proceeds will benefit local rotary scholarships and charitable projects and everyone is welcomed to attend.
