Howland man dies after fatal crash in Edinburg
Saturday night, a Howland man died after a crash on Interstate 95.
Maine State Police say it happened just before 8 p.m. around mile marker 210.
Police say 61-year-old Bruce Ireland lost control of his car and drove into the wooded median.
Police believe wet roads are likely what caused Ireland to lose control.
Ireland was not wearing a seatbelt.
Family recovering after being hit on sidewalk by driver
A family of four was hit by a car on Saturday in Lincoln and police have made an arrest.
Lincoln Police say 57-year-old Carl Hartley has been arrested for operating under the influence of meth.
Police say a 24-year-old female, 29-year-old male and a five year old as well as a three month old were hit at the intersection of Main Street and West Broadway.
The 24-year-old was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and the other three victims were also taken to the hospital with what police say are non-life threatening injuries.
Woman injured after fall off cliff at Acadia
Near Thunder Hole in Acadia National Park, the Coast Guard says a woman was injured after falling off a cliff.
It happened late Friday morning.
The Bangor Daily news says the woman fell about 30 feet and is believed to have fallen in the water and pulled out by others at the scene.
The publication reports the Coast Guard sent an additional boat and they recovered the woman.
She potentially broke bones and had bodily bruising however her current condition is unknown.
Shenna Bellows leaves Democratic Senate Race
Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows announced she is leaving the Democratic Senate race.
In a statement Bellows announced she will leave the race looking to replace Graham Platner citing the best way she can serve the state and country is by focusing on her current role.
This after Maine Democrats had a convention at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Saturday.

The Ellsworth American reports its all thanks to an effort that sought to protect the land and preserve all of the natural beauty it has to offer.
Hundreds of donations and a private foundation loan made the goal possible in June amounting to $1.86 million.

Ellsworth Public Library to host ‘Bike Pop-Up’
Join the Ellsworth Public Library for their first Knowlton Park outing for the Summer!
The Purple Peddler gives locals and visitors a chance to stroll over to the park for a free book giveaway, you can build a paper kite, get a library card and sign up for the Summer Reading program.
Some reading prizes for adults and teens include VIP tickets to Fogtoberfest or a dinner and a show!
They’ll be at the park on July 22 starting at 9 a.m. for an hour.
