Schooner passenger under evaluation after armed incident in Northport
The Knox County Sheriff’s office responded to a passenger on a schooner who officials believe were armed and expressing homicidal intent.
The person is now undergoing an evaluation.
WABI news reports the incident happened at around 5 a.m. on Tuesday as the person was aboard the schooner Heritage.
Officials say the 77-year-old passenger had a gun and expressed homicidal and suicidal intent.
Deputies say the person was experiencing severe confusion and deputies will complete the Yellow Flag process.
Boil Water Order issued after water main break in Ellsworth
Officials from the City of Ellsworth Water Department issued a boil water order after a water main break on Thursday.
The order applies to Grant Street, Liberty Street, Chapel Street, Willow Street and Youngs Avenue until further notice.
Residents and businesses in the affected areas are asked to boil water for at least five minutes before drinking it, making ice, washing fruits and vegetables, brushing your teeth and any other way you may consume water.

Owls Head house fire suppressed on Thursday
Neighbors thank first responders for their quick response to a potential structure fire on Thursday in Owls Head.
It happened a little before 1 p.m.
The Pen Bay Pilot reports neighbors reported smoke coming from the upper floors of the home at 36 Lighthouse Road but with a quick response from firefighters and mutual aid, the fire was quickly extinguished.
The fire marshal’s office has been notified.
Fire Marshal’s Office determines cause of fire at Belfast Art studio
The Fire Marshal’s office has ruled the fire at Waterfall Arts in Belfast accidental.
It happened on Wednesday.
The Belfast Fire department was dispatched to the building fire at 256 High Street at around 3:15 p.m. and a small metal tray beneath the metal worktable inside the glassblowing studio was on fire.
Damage was limited according to officials.
Investigators believe a piece of hot glass came into contact with a microfiber cloth igniting a small fire after they found the studio entrances locked and no evidence of forced entry.
Maine DHHS suspends payments from five MaineCare providers
Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services has suspended payments to five MaineCare providers following what officials are calling credible allegations of fraud.
Additionally, DHHS enforced two emergency provider terminations back in June, according to their blog.
They also dis-enrolled 28 agencies that failed to submit a claim within a year of joining the program and DHHS says it’s taken licensing enforcement action against 15 personal care agencies- issuing conditional licenses, assessing penalties against 12 of them and referring one to law enforcement.
