Portland man accused of drunk driving in Acadia National Park
A Portland man pleaded not guilty on Tuesday after being accused of drinking and driving in Acadia National Park.
Cadin Lunt appeared before a judge in Bangor.
The Bangor Daily news reports Lunt allegedly admitted to drinking before and while driving his car on July 3 with an open container of alcohol in the center console.
The publication reports he skidded across a driveway before hitting a tree stump according to the probable cause statement.
Lunt faces multiple charges and his age has been redacted in court documents according to the BDN.

A new law has been proposed to crack down on habitual sex offenders in the state.
Rep. Rachel Henderson calls the bill the ‘Eliot Cutler Law.’
The Bangor Daily News reports the law is in reference to the former gubernatorial candidate who has been convicted of possessing thousands of images and videos of children being sexually abused.
Cutler has repeatedly violated his bail conditions of possessing sexually explicit media of children.
The publication reports the proposal suggests convicted sex offenders would serve the rest of their sentence after their first probation violation.

Bridge closure expected due to film production
A bridge in Blue Hill will be closed to traffic on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
However, it’s not for road work.
The Ellsworth American reports The Falls Bridge will be closed due to a film production company shooting stunt-work.
The location manager tells the publication, drivers should assume the closure will be all day starting at 6 a.m.
The Maine Department of Transportation will send out more details.
Ellsworth FD honors 25th anniversary of 9/11
The Ellsworth Fire Department invites you to join them in honoring the 25 anniversary of 9/11.
The event will take place at the Ellsworth City Hall.
While the day comes with sorrow, fire officials want to honor and remember those who lost their lives that day and uplift unity in the community.
Food will be generously donated and cooked by Walmart at the event which starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m.
