Michael W. Hale, became hooked on radio when he was 8 years old and received a transistor radio as a gift from his mom. He got his start in radio at the age of 15 when he was hired to work weekends at WMKR in Millinocket, Me. He later attended the University  of Maine and the Leland Powers School of Communications & Theatre in Boston. Michael has worked for a variety of  radio stations in Maine and at ESPN Radio in Florida. He also was a commercial and sports announcer for many years at WABI television in Bangor, Me. Michael W. Hale spent many years as the Star 97.7 morning host…and now he helps us out from time to time.

When not on the radio, he enjoys hiking and riding his Harley motorcycle.
