Multiple agencies respond to Bucksport fire Sunday night
On Sunday night, multiple agencies responded to a fire at a home on Foss Farm Drive in Bucksport according to the Bangor Daily News.
Orland, Castine and Orrington firefighters were among the five departments that assisted Bucksport fire in containing the blaze which took around five hours.
The paper says despite the harsh conditions, crews were able to put out the blaze.
There’s no further details at this time.
Man who shot at police and led authorities on chase arrested
Authorities tell WABI news two people were arrested Sunday following a police chase in Kennebec County in which one of the suspects shot at officers.
According to the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office, police tried to stop 33-year-old Dustin Smith on Hallowell Road in Chelsea, but he kept driving.
Officials say Smith was wanted on multiple arrest warrants.
Authorities tell WABI, Smith led police on a chase through Windsor into Augusta, firing a gun at officers multiple times.
Police say he pointed a gun at officers, and deputies fired at Smith with one bullet grazing him.
Authorities say Smith was taken to a hospital to be treated then taken to Kennebec County Jail with several pending charges.
Police say Kierra Stoddard, 29, was also taken to the jail, charged with resisting arrest.

Historic Greenville building damaged by fire
A piece of history went up in flames early Monday morning in Greenville according to WABI news.
The Greenville Fire Department responded to the fire at the Columbia-Doric Masonic Temple on Pritham Avenue according to WABI news.
Flames coming from the roof of the building is what first responders responded to and they tried to put out the fire.
There is no information as to what caused the fire and no injuries have been reported.

City of Ellsworth water department update
City of Ellsworth officials say the water department has been flushing hydrants and will do so again between 2:30 and 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Areas affected include Surry Road, Water Street and State Street.
Officials say you may notice cloudy or discolored water but keep in mind it is normal during flushing and the water is safe to use and drink.
Crews are working on a valve replacement but once that’s done, the water pressure should be back to normal.

New Bangor women’s sober living home open
According to WABI news, a new sober living facility specifically for women is now open in Bangor.
Lily House aims to provide a safe and supportive space.
WABI news reports it’s not a treatment center, it’s a place where tenants are expected to have at least a month of sobriety, rent a room on a monthly basis and follow a structure.
The owners say they want their space to be a supportive atmosphere to better tenants chances of having a long term, lasting sobriety.

Belfast Chamber Music to host ‘Home and Hearth’ charity benefit concert
Happening Sunday, Dec. 21 the Belfast Chamber Music will host its second annual benefit concert according to the Pen Bay Pilot.

Holden PD will hold Jail and Bail event Wednesday
On Wednesday, Dec. 17 the Holden Police Department may arrest one of your local business owners but don’t be alarmed, it’s all for fun
The department will host their Jail & Bail event from 9-2 p.m. and during the event after the arrests take place, they’re given an option to bail themselves out or call a friend to come to their rescue.
The bail money will be donated to their 25 Days of Kindness fund to help support those in need.
