Election Day in Ellsworth

It is Election day and if you’re wondering where to go in Ellsworth or the hours, Star 97.7 has got you covered.

Poll hours are from 8AM to 8PM.

According to the City of Ellsworth, Ward One votes in the Upstairs Auditorium at Ellsworth City Hall, 1 City Hall Plaza, and covers the entire downtown area on the east of the Union River.

Ward Two votes at Your Place Community Center, 4 Old Mill Road, behind Sunrise Glass.

Ward Three votes in the Gymnasium at the Maine Coast Baptist Church, 867 Bangor Road, on Route 1A and covers north Ellsworth.

Ward Four votes in the Council Chambers at Ellsworth City Hall, 1 City Hall Plaza, and covers the Bridge Hill area west of the Union River.

Work on Red Bridge Road and Gary Moore Road

The City of Ellsworth tells us Northeast Paving will be working on Red Bridge Road and Gary Moore Road on Thursday Nov. 6 and Friday Nov. 7.

The road will be down to one lane alternating traffic so you might want to find a different route.

TD Bank in Ellsworth closing location

The Ellsworth TD Bank will be closing on January 29, 2026.

Customers received information guiding them to nearby locations in Bangor beyond the closure.

The Mission Food Pantry offering daily lunch for 7 weeks

The Mission Food Pantry through the Maine Seacoast Mission, will offer meals for seven weeks to help Downeast communities during the pause to SNAP benefits.

‘Soup’s On’ will include a daily lunch of soup and bread beginning Nov. 4 through Dec. 19.

A meal will be served every Tuesday through Friday from 11AM to 1PM at the Mission’s food pantry location.

Estate sale to raise money for SPCA

If you’re looking for furniture or other treasures, you can find what you need and also support the SPCA of Hancock County.

The SPCA tells Star 97.7 they are holding an estate sale of a former high-end vacation rental at 18 Wayman Lane in Bar Harbor from 9AM to 3PM on Friday, Nov. 7, 8 and 9.

All proceeds will benefit the non-profit animal welfare organization.

Items include living room ,bedroom, dining room furniture along with art, decor and linens.

Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.

Northeast Harbor Art Workshop

Artists and aspiring ones mark your calendars.

On Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 10AM head to the Northeast HarborLibrary for their free art workshop led by a realist painter and illustrator who specializes in bird portraits.

Those who attend will be guided through the process of building a bird on paper and from there find the beauty in the avian world.

They tell Star 97.7 the workshop is supported by the Maine Arts Commission providing more creative opportunities in the community.

Join the Belfast Free Library for their ‘Lego Club’

The Belfast Free Library will host their ‘Lego Club’ on Nov. 13 for fans from 4-5PM.

In the Abbott Room of the library located at 106 High Street in Belfast, the library will provide participants LEGO’s to build what you’d like or take the library challenge.

At the end you can present your work or leave it to others’ imaginations.
