Eddington man convicted after making online threats
On Tuesday, an Eddington man was found guilty of transmitting interstate threats.
The U.S. Department of Justice found 52-year-old Thadius Wind guilty of three counts of threatening communications and one count of threatening Former Vice President Kamala Harris.
Investigators say through posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, Wind threatened to kill Jewish people, Harris, Maine law enforcement officers and Elon Musk.
Wind faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 followed by up to three years of supervised release.
Drone search launched for Rockland man
A Rockland man has been missing since Monday and now authorities are ramping up search efforts.
Rockland police have been searching for 49-year-old Scott Clark.
WABI news reports the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office will use a drone to search the Tolman Pond area for Clark.
On Monday police say Clark was last seen driving a blue Chevy Tahoe with the license plate 393FGZ.

Ellsworth Fire gets an upgrade to essential equipment
After being out of service for months, the Ellsworth Fire Department is set to replace a new municipal rescue boat.
Water-related rescues have increased during the warmer months.
The Ellsworth American reports the council voted unanimously in favor of purchasing the new vessel and the city will fund it through its capital reserve.
The fire chief says this new boat will get more manpower on the water.
Authorities investigate Sidney crash
On Monday afternoon three people were taken to the hospital after a multi-car crash.
Maine State Police say a Brewer man was driving a truck when he rear-ended an SUV that was slowing down.
That truck then struck two additional cars.
Police say all three people hurt were taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries and the investigation remains ongoing.
Sullivan Daze receives $5K grant
An annual celebration of community and place in Sullivan got a major boost!
The Maine Office of Tourism awarded $5,000 to the town’s annual ‘Sullivan Daze.’
The Ellsworth American reports the town already had plans of expanding community based entertainment like live performances, and educational programs for children and adults about the sea.
The publication reports Sullivan Daze will take place at Sumner Park and other locations on July 31 and August 1.

For the 37th year in a row, Mainers and visitors alike can explore agriculture on more than 80 farms across the state.
Maine Open Farm day serves as an opportunity to get a closer look into where Maine foods, flowers and fiber are sourced.
