Authorities investigate fatal crash in Hancock
On Friday, authorities responded to a fatal crash in Hancock.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s office says 32-year-old Tyeler Grey died after driving a motorcycle on Route 182 when a car turned left and crashed.
Police tell Star 97.7 that 28-year-old Harold Moore was the driver of the car and he was uninjured along with two passengers.
The investigation is ongoing.
Troy Jackson nominated as U.S. Senate Candidate
After the Maine Democratic Party held a nominating convention Saturday, Troy Jackson was selected to be the candidate for U.S. Senate.
He will face five-term incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins in November.
WABI news reports Jackson won 566 to 5 over the only other remaining candidate, Saundra Pelletier.
This leaves Jackson less than 100 days to campaign.

Shooting in Avon leads to woman being flown by LifeFlight
A woman is being treated for her injuries after being shot according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened in Avon on Friday.
Police say a man reported his mother was shot while he was picking up his kids from his ex-wife’s family.
The woman was flown by LifeFlight to be treated according to authorities and everyone involved is cooperating.
Police say there’s no ongoing threat to the public.

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to reflect on the history, place and people who made up Ellsworth, your answers could be fulfilled.
Over at the Ellsworth Public Library, an exhibit called ‘Reflections of Ellsworth’ focuses on just that.
The historic exhibit is filled with photos that describe different milestones and events with detailed captions provided by the Ellsworth Historical society.
You’re not only invited to the exhibit, they’re asking for you to help be a part of it too by giving feedback and helping identify people and places in photos.
