Maine State Police investigating fatal crash in Hancock
Maine State Police say they’re investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened on Friday.
Police say the crash involved an SUV on Route 1 in Hancock.
Police say the operator of the motorcycle, 29-year-old Richard Ryan of Hancock died at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Troopers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the Bangor Regional Communications center at 207-973-3700.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Police arrest Kenduskeag man after standoff
On Saturday police arrested a Kenduskeag man after a domestic violence incident that led to a standoff.
25-year-old Liam Geagan is charged with domestic assault, criminal threatening and violation of probation.
WABI news reports the Penobscot County Sheriff’s office reports Geagan refused to cooperate when they responded to the scene which led to the standoff however authorities were able to prevent any potential danger.
He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and more charges are expected.

Man arrested at Acadia National Park after threatening to shoot campers
On Wednesday, law enforcement arrested a man who allegedly threatened campers at Seawall Campground.
Multiple agencies responded.
The Bar Harbor story reports students from a Massachusetts-based university were setting up their spot at the campsite when the man who they believe was intoxicated said he was going to get his gun and kill them.
The campers called for help.
The publication reports Acadia National Park law enforcement rangers arrested 62-year-old Damon Taney for disorderly conduct.
He was brought to Hancock County Jail and then released to a federal officer from jail on Thursday.
Train derailment happens in Orono over the weekend
Near Penobscot Valley Country Club on Main Street in Orono, a train derailed.
The incident happened on Saturday.
WABI news reports Orono Fire reported to the scene finding 13 of the train’s 32 cars derailed and no injuries have been reported.
Authorities say there are no hazardous leaks or threats to the public and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection will work with CSX on cleanup efforts.
The rail is closed during repairs and inspections.

Road work schedule on High Street
The City of Ellsworth Highway and water departments will be working overnight on High Street this evening starting at 10 p.m. through Tuesday morning.
Utility and road work will take place near the Pizza Hut.
If you are traveling, expect minor delays, slow down and follow all traffic control devices.
